I Can't Sleep.....Part II

Ladies and Gents:

Welcome to the second installment of...yes you guessed it..."I Can't Sleep"...but instead of going on a long diatribe about all the things that are in my mind...this time.....or better yet, what's ACTUALLY keeping me awake, I am just going to just drop some random things that I like....appreciate....or whatever....that have crossed my mind tonite:

The Cleveland Cavaliers-I have always liked to Cavs since the days of Ron Harper, Brad Daugherty, Mark Price and Larry Nance, but with the arrival of LeBron James, it seems to have heightened. I am an actual Cavs fan now.....all due to the God given abilities of that 23 year old.

Do-Rags-I remember when I was in my early twenties and I was always walking around with those things on my head...just knowing I was cool! I mean, I had multi-colored ones, ones I wore with certain hats/shoes...and even ones I wore just in the house...but here is what no one tells all of those men rocking those as fashion statements....."You look stupid...very silly...and they were DESIGNED to be worn to BED only!" Yup...

Cats-I think they are evil....second to the snake on my list of Satan influenced...things....creep me out.

Happiness-I am seriously happy for the FIRST time in my life. Now, some who knew me say...two months ago would say "Ok Shep, you are happy, but why....you have NOTHING to be happy about....(For those who know my current situation, you know what I mean)" but I say to them three words that I have become very accustomed to saying......God Is Good.

Break For The Border-A song by Acoustic Alchemy from their "Back On The Case" album. It is a song that would be perfect for lounging around the crib on a sunny....slight breezy Saturday afternoon....around 2:30 ....seriously.

Dancing-I have been dancing around my place a lot lately...I think its this new christian walk that I am on...I have been dancing alot....like....remember when you were little and your mom would have you do one of the "latest" dances for everyone attending a party or whatever was going on...at your house...I know you do...we all had them...we all had too....and we all danced.

BeBe and CeCe Winans-I have been listening to a lot of their music lately...."Heaven" is still my favorite cut, and the one I play about 67 times a day.

Toy Story 2-I watched it with my daughter last week....6 times in a row....I have no idea why we have to watch in....continous....reputition. Don't know, but it was a good movie.....the first time.

Peabo Bryson-Largest Forehead ever....wonderful voice...wonderful, wonderful voice.

Ipod-I need a new one. I've had the same one since 2005...I have about 2:12 minutes of battery life if I try to listen to it outside of my car...say.....like with my headphones. Not even a full song....without being on a charger...so sad.

Pop and Jenn-I really love you guys....you have been with me throughout my roughest and darkest periods. Countless hours of advice, prayer, and now you are celebrating with me in these renewed times of mine....Pop, seeing you the other nite from the Pulpit was a moment I will never forget, and although I am just beginning, I will be the man you are one of these days...If could put my feelings for you into words.....I would.

Rob and LaWanda-Sometimes, God sends Angels into your life for reasons you can't explain...and no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to grasp why I have been blessed to know, love and be loved by people such as yourselves. You didn't/don't have to be as loving as you are and yet you are....to me and my daughter....Rob, I am full right now...and LaWanda....I got a feeling you have the biggest hug ever coming your way in a few days....I Love you guys and I want to thank you for just being....you!

Pawn Shops-I have pawned...nearly 85% of everything I owned in the last few months to survive....and I want to thank the countless Pawn Shops around this area...that gave me money...albeit,very little...lol, but enough to survive.

Alicia Myers-I can't explain it, but I have listened to her song "You Get The Best From Me...Say, Say, Say" about 100 times in the last few weeks....it just touches something in me...and it brings back memories of two things: 1: My mom cleaning the house on Saturday mornings and 2: The aforementioned...you know...me having to do the "Hammer Dance, Moonwalk, Prep, Running Man" or any other dance my mom would make me "perform" in front of her drunken house guests.

I'm Alive-Sung by Dietrick Haddon, very personal...because I finally am alive!

Psalm 143-The first book I was instructed to read when I moved to this area....and the one I always find myself coming back too....Thx Jenn

Lip Balm-I really love anything that has Bee Naturals in it....don't really know what that entails...but it makes my lips tingle.

Well, those were some of the things on my mind this late nite...turned morning....I think I am sleepy now.
